The Wind Whistles

Canadian folk duo The Wind Whistles has released their second album. Tom and Liza live together in the suburbs of Vancouver. As an indie folk duo, they both sing and both play acoustic instruments (guitar, bass). They think they sound like a cross of The Lemonheads and Violent Femmes, while people tell them they sound like a cross of The Decemberists and The Moldy Peaches.
The Wind Whistles is a d.i.y. project. Please support the real music!

The Ogdens

A retrospective by The Ogdens has been released on Firestation Records. "Hellish Mad Rush" contains no less than 22 tracks, featuring their singles, previously unreleased tracks and live recordings.
The Ogdens were formed in 1986 by Jon Fagg, Andrew Milton, John Phillips and Vince Woodward. Vince left Britain to live in the US, and John Devenney joined in 1987. Karen Andrews was with the band for a year or so and played the trumpet. The band released three singles, and the first one was NME "Single of the Week" in 1988. John Peel regularly played the band's songs on his radio shows.
