I think it's time to blog. I feel a strong need to inform you about the music I love, and to tell you about the latest bands I have discovered. Nothing more.

As some of you may know, Stewart's and Jen's daughter Tallulah, nearly 3, was recently diagnosed as autistic, which has resulted in a year of intense ups and downs for them.

Two If By Sea is a long distance collaboration between Teresa Daniele (formerly of The Haircuts), Lisle Mitnik (Fireflies / Very Truly Yours) and Kevin Clark (Homeville Circle / Wooden Owls). And now something differnent from Australia. You can call it 60s psychedelia. This great song is taken from Tame Impala's debut album 'InnerSpeaker,' accompanied by a very surrealistic film.
Here the latest single of the wonderful Kabeedies. This song reminds me of some great, jangly 80s indie bands. The Kabeedies have a wide variety of influences such as The Smiths, Blur, Blondie, The Strokes, Devo, and Buddy Holly.
The Cavalcade have their debut album out on Pebbles Records, entitled 'Many Moons.' The Cavalcade are an indiepop band from Preston in the north of England, inspired by bands such as Felt, The Clientele and The Field Mice.

The Answering Machine is a great guitar band from Manchester, UK, even though their sound reminds me of The Wombats. It's also a lot of (early) Wedding Present in there. Watch their enjoyable vid here.
The Megaphonic Thrift are a new signing to Club AC30. There will be a single soon and debut album in mid-February 2011. I think they have listened a lot to Sonic Youth records.

This wonderful track by ex-Hefner Darren Hayman with Emmy the Great on guest vocals is taken from his new album 'Essex Arms' on Fortuna Pop! Records. Each frame is hand drawn on one sheet of card. As each image is erased or painted over a new one appears. It took Darren about 2 months to do spending an hour or two each day.
Tripwires are the new AC30 signing. Here you have a sneak preview of one of the songs on their forthcoming album, which will be out in the spring of 2011. The song is called "Cinnamon." It reminds me of the unforgetable Swervedriver from Creation Records years ago.
